Who We Are
Spencer Rascoff
Spencer is Founder and General Partner at 75 & Sunny. He takes an active role in launching new start-ups through 75 & Sunny Labs.
Spencer is an entrepreneur and company leader who co-founded Zillow, Hotwire, dot.LA, Pacaso, Recon Food, Queue, and heyLibby and who served as Zillow's CEO for a decade. During Spencer’s time as CEO, Zillow won dozens of “best places to work” awards as it grew to over 4,500 employees, $3 billion in revenue, and $10 billion in market capitalization. Prior to Zillow, Spencer co-founded and was VP Corporate Development of Hotwire, which was sold to Expedia for $685 million in 2003.
Spencer is on the Board of Directors of Varo Bank, a digital fintech bank, and is a former Board member of Zillow Group (Nasdaq: ZG), Palantir (NYSE: PLTR), TripAdvisor (Nasdaq: TRIP), Zulily (Nasdaq: ZU), Julep, SwitchFly, and several other tech companies. He is on the Board of Advisors for PledgeLA, a coalition aiming to increase diversity, equity and community engagement in LA’s tech community.
Spencer is a professor at Harvard College and Harvard Business School where he teaches courses on entrepreneurship and innovation. He is a frequent guest on CNBC and a New York Times’ best-selling author of “Zillow Talk: Rewriting the Rules of Real Estate.” Spencer is the host of "Office Hours,” a podcast featuring candid conversations between prominent executives on leadership, company culture, product strategy, and how to run tech companies. Other interviews with Spencer can be found on Business Insider, the Kleiner Perkins Grit Podcast, and the LegendsNLeaders Podcast.
Before his consumer web career, Spencer worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and in private equity at TPG Capital. He is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Spencer graduated cum laude from Harvard University and is on the Board of Trustees of Harvard-Westlake School.

Wil Chockley
Wil is a Partner at 75 & Sunny, where he works with founders on product, go-to-market, and fundraising strategy. He also evaluates new investments for 75 & Sunny and led our investments into companies including Apex, Permitflow, Crexi, and HostGPO.
Before joining 75 & Sunny, Wil was an early stage investor at Bain Capital Ventures, where he focused on enterprise software, ecommerce, and marketplaces.
Wil spent the first four years of his career in the technology practice at Bain & Company. He also worked at Thumbtack, a marketplace connecting customers with local service professionals, where he managed 400+ of the 1,000 categories on the Thumbtack platform. Wil graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College.
Katie Curnutte
Katie leads communications for 75 & Sunny, working with Spencer and Wil and advising portfolio companies.
Katie also runs Kingston Marketing Group, a Seattle-based marketing and communications agency focused on start-ups.
Before KMG, Katie spent 11 years leading Zillow’s communications, government relations and public affairs teams (most recently as SVP). She has a BS in journalism from University of Illinois.
Jeanne Brennan
Jeanne is 75 & Sunny’s business operations manager. Prior to joining 75 & Sunny, Jeanne was Spencer's executive assistant at Zillow Group for many years.
She has more than 25 years of experience in office operations and senior-level executive administrative management.
Jeanne received her BA in Psychology from Elmhurst University.
Kat Parra
Kat runs social media for 75 & Sunny, as well as advising portfolio companies on social media content, strategy, and operations.
Prior to 75 & Sunny, Kat was a Senior Marketing Manager at Pacaso, as well as spending time as a Senior Communications Specialist at Zillow.
Kat received her BA in Communications from the University of Washington.
